Dr. Thiagarajan Srinivasan

The Director of the Institute of Liver Transplant & HPB Surgery, Dr. Thiagarajan S is a world-renowned HPB and liver transplant surgeon who has an experience of 15 years in this field. He has a personal experience of more than 1,700 liver transplants and has a cumulative experience of more than 3,500 liver transplants (both living and deceased donors as well as pediatric liver transplants) and 1,000 advanced complex open and laparoscopic hepatopancreatic biliary surgeries. He is proficient in all types of complex gastrointestinal, liver and pancreaticobiliary surgeries. He has been trained in advanced robotic and minimal access surgery at Severance Hospital (Yonsei University), Seoul, South Korea. He has also amassed a wealth of experience at Medanta – The Medicity, the country’s top liver transplant Centre, as a Minimal Access, Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgeon. His special interests include living donor liver transplants, pediatric liver transplants and complex liver resections.
