Dr. Deepak Charles

A hematologist and haemato-oncologist, Dr. Deepak Charles is trained in the comprehensive management of malignant and non-malignant disorders of the blood. His areas of interest include management of aplastic anemia, stem cell transplants, bone marrow disorders, and myeloproliferative neoplasms – a group of rare blood cancers in which excess red blood cells, white blood cells, or platelets are produced in the bone marrow. A Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Clinical Hematology from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, he completed MBBS from Government Medical College, Thrissur. He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Internal Medicine from Government Medical College, Calicut, and is a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in the discipline. He has also undergone special training in Hematology at Christian Medical College, Vellore, and at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi
