Dr. Hemanth Kumar Kasaragod has more than 15 years of experience in the field of Laparoscopic and Minimal Access Surgeries. He has performed over 25000 surgeries including simple and advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic surgeries over these years. He has worked in his early days in Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi before moving onto Fortis Group of Hospitals. His knowledge about open surgical procedure is profound having performed almost all of the procedures done in General Surgery including breast and thyroid surgeries. He has various fellowship degrees in the field of Minimal Access/Laparoscopic surgeries. His expertise includes Gastro-Intestinal (G.I)/ Colo-Rectal (Benign and Cancer) surgeries along with Metabolic and Bariatric surgeries. He has performed surgeries in various platform like conferences and workshops. He is adept in latest techniques and technology involved in the procedures. He has presented papers in various National and International forums.

He has published papers in various Journals and has been a co-author in chapter of Surgical Textbooks. He also has experience in Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci Xi) and has performed and assisted various cases including G.I and Bariatric Surgery. With keen interest in teaching, he has conducted various workshops in the field of Hernia surgery, Bariatric Surgery and MIPH (STAPLED HAEMARRHOIDECTOMY and STARR procedure). He is member of various surgical societies. He is an avid Badminton and Cricket player having played at various National Levels.
